Brando at the BFI
11th July, 2007
The BFI is screening a Marlon Brando series throughout July 2007. Its selection (including the obvious titles such as A Streetcar Named Desire and Last Tango in Paris, but also some of his lesser watched entries such as Reflections in a Golden Eye and The Chase) demonstrates well his range and depth. Brando was not only the greatest actor of his generation, but a true icon of cinema. So not surprisingly, original posters and lobby cards from his films are very sought after, and some have become particularly collectable due to their graphic design - Apocalypse Now and The Godfather to name but two.
