Elvis: Long Live the King

16th August marked the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley. But three decades haven't dimmed his popularity, and his influence on popular music remains. He graduated early in his career from music to films, and made a number of memorable performances. Unfortunately, most of his Sixties movie output was predictable and often bland, but most of those films weren't really as bad as the critics would have it. For the Elvis fan, they also produced some great Elvis images, and original Presley film posters and lobby cards are increasingly hard to find as they become ever more popular.
