Had she lived, Marilyn Monroe would have been 80 today. She died more than 40 years ago, and only made a relatively small number of films. But her iconic status has grown rather than diminished over the years, and she remains one of Hollywood's most universally recognised images. As a result, anything Marilyn is collectable, and this applies in particular to original movie posters, where Marilyn fans, film fans, and poster collectors all compete for the best pieces.
